Winter time fishing is “Red Hot”

Winter time fishing is “Red Hot”

The last few time out have been excellent for redfish. However some days the fish are chewing the other days it takes every trick in the book to get them to eat. The last three times out I have seen close to a 100 redfish each trip, however only a half dozen are coming to the boat. Extremely negative low tides and slicked out conditions have concentrated the fish, but have also made them very spooky. I have had to go to cut ladyfish on occasion as well as adding scent to artificial baits. I had some awesome bites on top water later in the day when most people think that top water lures don’t work on bright and sunny days. Shhh don’t tell any one. If you are looking to throw artificial lures here in Tampa bay I would be more than happy to take you. It seems like every guide over here only use live bait. I had a someone call the other day, but I was already booked. I couldn’t find one guide that does it. They all say they can do it, but they really don’t. I throw artificial %95 percent of the time.  To me its more rewarding. Book your Tampa Bay Artifical Fishing Trip Today. Capt. Bucky Goldman 813-358-6046 or 407-977-7650

“Our group had a blast with Capt. Casey. The boat was comfortable and had plenty of room to accommodate our group of 5. Very knowedgable, very friendly and great fisherman. The redfish and trout where great for dinner.”
