Capt. Bucky Goldman provides everything you need to have a successful day on the water. All tackle, lures, rods, reels, live bait, ice and water are provided. You don’t even need a fishing license, as up to four anglers are covered under the captain’s fishing license. The captain will gladly clean any fish you might like to keep, but he does prefer catch and release. If you want to continually come down to Mosquito Lagoon and have incredible days of fishing then he highly recommends catch and release. Capt. Bucky will also take photos and email them to you at his earliest convenience.
The Captain can also target requested species depending on certain times of year. So if there is a fish on your bucket list, he will try to the best of his abilities to make it happen. If you want to target Bull redfish, to monster gator trout, to even small juvenile tarpon, Capt. Bucky will try to make it happen. It is fishing however and sometimes, no matter how hard you try it just might not happen. Capt. Bucky Goldman as has acquired a specialized permit to allow us to fish Mosquito Lagoon and parts of the Indian River which lies within the boundaries of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and Canaveral National Seashore.

Capt Bucky Goldman is an experienced angler having fish all over the state of Florida. He is experienced in both lure and live bait fishing, as well as Fly fishing. He can teach you how to become a better fisherman in just a short amount of time. He can give you tips on how to work all different types of lures as well as pointers on casting spinning and a fly rod. He will show you how to tie knots and ways to rig lures and live bait better in order to increase your chances of success. He will adapt every charter to your level of fishing ability and will sometimes try to push your skills to their limits.
COVERS ALL THE BASES
Capt. Bucky Goldman knows that any given day on the water presents different challenges. Not having the right bait or lure can lead to tough day on the water. Capt. Bucky will almost always have live and/or cut bait to use in case the fish tend to become much pickier as the day goes on. Some days you find yourself surrounded by fish that just won’t eat an artificial or come across a school of black drum or the large bull redfish. To not have a way to catch them would be a shame and also proof that your guide is not willing to do what it takes to get the job done!
GREAT WITH CHILDREN OF ALL AGES
Capt. Bucky loves having children of all ages aboard his boat! He is the father of a two year old son, and understands the patience involved with guiding kids. He also knows that most children get restless on long days on the water and recommends 4 hour trips. The older the child the longer they can tolerate being cooped up on a small boat. Capt. Bucky also changes his fishing tactics, depending on the age and the fishing experience of the child. He can target small species of fish and really go for numbers as opposed to size of the fish. He like to fish with shrimp and popping corks so the children have something to focus on and can see when they are getting a bite. Capt. Bucky can also make the adventure very educational. He will gladly take the time to point out the numerous different species of fish and animals, such as manatees, dolphins, alligators, as well as countless native and exotic birds.
