School is cool!

This winter has shaped up to be a good one so far. As usual when the water gets cold the fish tend to school up. Trout fishing has been off the hook good. Lots of small trout, but some slot and over slot mixed into the madness. My last three charters have boated over 70 trout per trip and that’s between two people. Follow that up with some solid redfish action and we have ourselves an excellent day on the water.  Recently I have found some big school of redfish in real shallow water. They tend to be spooky but are often willing to take the bait. Cut ladyfish has worked well for redfish and larger snook. Although I tend to try and stick to artificial, when the fish are tricky that’s when the live shrimp or cut bait come into action. If you are looking for a tampa bay fishing charter I have some day of availability the later half of this month and on into February. Call now to book a trip 407-977-7650 or 813-358-6046. Captain. “Our group had a blast with Capt. Casey. The boat was comfortable and had plenty of room to accommodate our group of 5. Very knowedgable, very friendly and great fisherman. The redfish and trout where great for dinner.”
